Lakewood, Ca. – Trevor Ruiz scored two more goals – giving him three for the season – for the UNLV Rebels in a 5-2 loss to Long Beach State at The Rinks Arena.  It was a 2-2 game going into the third period when Long Beach State, in its season-opening game scored three times. The last goal was into an empty net.  UNLV, 0-3-0 overall, now heads to Cal State Northridge to start a two-game road weekend on Friday night.

Lakewood, Ca. –  Faceoff is 7:30 pm tonight for UNLV’s big game vs Long Beach State at The Rinks. UNLV earlier announced that freshman goal scorer Ethan Montoya will be in the lineup this evening.  Ethan was injured during the first game against Utah last weekend. This will be the opening game of the season for Long Beach State which historically has played UNLV in rough, physical games.
