Here is how Las Vegas players, coaches, alumni will spend Thanksgiving….

ZANE BRANSON, GOALIE, GMHL ORANGEVILLE ICE CRUSHERS

Hockey dad Steve:  Zane doesn’t have much time this year for Thanksgiving as his team plays home Thanksgiving Eve and are away in Meaford on Thanksgiving Day.  Zane is a big fan of his mom’s stuffing but usually makes a good run for everything on the table. All of that great eating must wait for a few weeks when Zane comes home for Christmas.

VITO CARLO, AAA WEST COAST RENEGADES-UTAH

Hockey mom Rosie: Vito is back on the ice, finally. His first games were a couple of weeks ago in South Dakota at a Super Series Showcase. He scored two goals that weekend. Vito will stay in Park City, Utah for Thanksgiving because one of his best friends is returning there from prep school. Dinner will be cooked and prepared by Vito’s billet mom. I know for sure she makes my Corn Casserole recipe which is a favorite of Vito’s. Although we will miss him terribly for Thanksgiving we get to have him home for Christmas.

MICHAEL CICHY, WISCONSIN RAPIDS RIVERKINGS

Hockey mom Pat:  Michael will be with his billet family in Wisconsin. They plan to have dinner, then go to the Green Bay Packers game where they are retiring Brett Favres jersey. Michael’s favorite Thanksgiving meal is turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and my stuffing. He will get a lot of that too when he comes home for Christmas.

RICHIE CROSSLEY, DEFENSEMAN, LAS VEGAS

My Thanksgiving plans will be celebrating with my family. My mom usually cooks the turkey with stuffing. I like to keep it plain and simple.

EDDIE DELGROSSO, ALL STAR DEFENSEMAN – RETIRED

Hockey mom Patty DeGrosso –  If Eddie sees a turkey leg he’ll try to grab it.  Or anything that looks like dark turkey. Seriously, he likes it all.  He just got engaged to Victoria so he will be heading to her place for Thanksgiving. I’m pretty sure some pasta will be on the menu. When Eddie was a little one we used to cook a cornish hen and tell him it was a baby turkey. Yes, he believed it. The fun we had. He won’t read this will he?

CHRIS FRANCIS, SAPA FEHERVAR AV19 – HUNGARY

Hello to all back home in Las Vegas. I will be in Innsbruck, Austria for a game. This is my first game back from an ankle injury. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Las Vegas

ANTHONY GREENER, CO-HEAD COACH, UNLV REBELS

Our players will have a fun skate Tuesday and then the boys are off for an entire week. We plan to spend Thanksgiving with our family in Las Vegas and eat my grandma’s stuffing – it really is amazing. Also I may head down to Cali to visit my fiance’s family. As for Gramps, it’s grandma’s cheesecake he likes the most. She is an older Italian woman and all of her food is amazing.

GABE GAUTHIER, HEAD COACH, WSHL LAS VEGAS STORM

We usually have family come into town for Thanksgiving and both my wife and myself share the cooking. I am the carver every year. This year John Brooks and his family has invited us to his house on Thursday. Our players are also invited but I believe the ones who stay in town may have plans to have Thanksgiving with their billet families.

CONNOR HANEY, SERC FIREWINGS – GERMANY

Hockey mom Lori:  Connor will celebrate Thanksgiving in Schwenningen, Germany eating a turkey schnitzel and potatoes with his American roomate Zach.

TALON MILLER, GOALIE, LAS VEGAS – HOMETOWN – BIRD CREEK, ALASKA

Hockey dad Tim: Talon’s favorite foods are pretty much everything. We will be in Bird Creek, Alaska for Thanksgiving and all will share in the cooking duties. Talon is playing hockey in an Anchorage men’s league and loving life in Alaska.

ROB PALLIN, HEAD COACH, SAPA FEHERVAR AV19 – HUNGARY

It’s snowing real heavy here in Innsbruck, Austria. It is about 28 degrees. But we’re all safe and we play Innsbruck tomorrow and then we have two more games. There is no Thanksgiving here as you can imagine. The good news though is that we have won 6 straight games and we have Chris Francis, who had an ankle sprain,  back in our lineup. I want to wish all of our Las Vegas friends and families a great Happy Thanksgiving.

ZACH POCHIRO, ECHL QUAD CITY MALLARDS IN MOLINE, ILLINOIS

Hockey dad Steve Pochiro:  Zach will be playing this Thanksgiving and he will be at a team dinner. I understand one of the players is cooking the turkey. Zach loves apple pie. I am planning to travel and see Zach but it looks like I may be dining on airport food. We want to wish everyone in Las Vegas a great Thanksgiving.

BEAU RICKETTS, STAR GOAL SCORER WSHL LV STORM LAST SEASON

Hockey Mom Charla:  Beau will be celebrating in Minot, N.D. where he has been working. He will be home in Las Vegas for a few days beginning December 23.  Beau’s father Tommy is in Utah taking care of his Dad who has been ill.  He cannot be left alone so Tommy is his caretaker. Beau’s sister Tulsa and her hubby will be at my mother’s house in Utah. Our young skater Blade will be with us in Las Vegas. So we’re skattered but united of course for Thanksgiving.

NICK ROBONE, CO-HEAD COACH UNLV REBELS

After our Tuesday skate the players will be off for the rest of the week. Most of our players will go home and have Thanksgiving with their families. I will be heading to my parents house. My Dad does the cooking. My favorite is the stuffing.

MICAH SANFORD, COACH, LAS VEGAS STORM

We are are doing Thanksgiving at my brothers house this year. My mom cooks the turkey and my favorite foods are turkey, dressing and my mom’s sweet potatoes. My dad likes the turkey and dressing too.

CORY WARD, BEMIDJI STATE

Hockey dad Pete Ward:  Cory and his team will be playing this week at Alabama Huntsville on Wednesday (Thanksgiving Day Eve) and on Friday.

JASON ZUCKER FAMILY IN LAS VEGAS

Hockey dad Scott: We will be relaxing at home on Thanksgiving Day. Our son Cameron has a game at the rink. His sister Kimmie will be keeping score. Natalie will be cooking the turkey
