On Thanksgiving Eve there were three Las Vegas skaters in action

St. Paul, Minnesota –  Jason Zucker and the NHL Minnesota Wild took an early one goal lead but the Vancouver Canucks got a huge game from goalie Ryan Miller and won 3-2 in a tightly played game at the Excel Energy Center on Thanksgiving Eve.  Minnesota, 8-2-0 on home ice this season, had more shots 33-28.

ECHL

Independence, Mo. –  Zach Pochiro of Las Vegas had five shots on goal tonight for the ECHL Quad City Mallards who lost 4-1 to the Missouri Mavericks at the Silverstein Eye Centers Area.  The crowd was 4276. Zach has 5 goals, 6 assists for 11 points this season. The Missouri Mavericks are a division leader with a record of 14-2-0; Quad City is 8-7-1

NCAA

Huntsville, Alabama – Cory Ward and Bemidji State rallied late with a three-goal burst in the third period to beat Alabama-Huntsville 4-1 at the Von Braun Center on Thanksgiving Eve.  Cory this season has one goal, six assists for seven points. Bemidji State is now 3-6-3, Alabama-Huntsville 3-7-1. The teams play the second game of the weekend series here Friday night.
