St. Paul, Minnesota –  Jason Zucker of Las Vegas scored early in the third the period to help the NHL Minnesota Wild beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in an OT/Shootout today at the XCel Energy Center. Jason, who worked hard throughout the game, had a big hit on Carolina’s Brad Malone, played 17+ minutes, was +1 on the ice and was selected the #1 Star of the Game. His goal was his 13th this season. It was an important win for the Wild who are on the hunt for a playoff spot. On Sunday the Wild is at Chicago.

Fort Wayne, Indiana – Zach Pochiro of Las Vegas assisted on the game-winning goal in OT to help the ECHL Quad City Mallards beat division-leader Fort Wayne Komets 4-3 before a massive crowd of 7648 at Memorial Coliseum.  Zach, who has 8 goals, 15 assists this season, helped Quad City raise its record to 31-25-4 and get closer to a playoff spot.

Chilliwack, BC – Kale Kane scored in the last moments of the game for the BCHL Chilliwack Chiefs who edged Brendan Harris of Las Vegas and the BCHL Wenatchee Wild 3-2 to take a 2-0 lead in a Best of Seven before 1846 at Prospera Centre. The next game will be at Wenatchee on Monday evening.
