“You never want it to end. It goes by so fast. When you come into the league, you don’t truly grasp that until your 20-year-old year. Now, there’s five games left. That’s it in the regular season. You can’t extend the 72 games. All you can do is get to the playoffs.”

— Beau McCue, who played bantam hockey in Las Vegas years ago with the Nevada Stars at the Las Vegas Ice Center. Beau skated four seasons and 270 games with the WHL Tri City Americans who did not make the playoffs. His season is over. He had a career total of 85 goals, 85 assists and played in the biggest of games. Beau was interviewed by the great hockey writer Annie Fowler of the Tri-City Herald.  Beau, 21, is from Missoula, Montana.
