Wayne, N.J.  – Steven Avalone scored 2 goals and Justin Brooks and Kyle Molony also scored as the Micah Sanford-coach AA Nevada Storm 16u beat the AA Alaska Jr Avalanche 4-1 today at the U.S. Nationals. Goalie Anthony Bonaldi got the big win as the Storm is off to a 2-0-0 start with one round-robin game to play on Saturday.

“We played very well today in a very physical game against a bigger team but our speed and work ethic was too much for the other team to handle,” said coach Micah. “We are playing very good team hockey and our team is beginning to believe we have a good chance of bringing home a National Championship.

“Today’s win solidified us a spot in the Quarter-Finals with our one more round robin game. We play the Sylvania North Stars from Ohio on Saturday here noontime and then we see exactly where we will be seeded,” Micah said.
