Megan Myers of Las Vegas will enter her third year with the Boston Blades next season.
The Blades’ top goal scorer last year will be back.
The Boston Blades announced today that forward Megan Myers will be returning to the team for at least the next two seasons.
Myers scored four goals 17 games with the Blades last year. She also notched three assists, putting her in a tie for the team’s point leader with line-mate Erin Kickham.
That line, centered by Assistant Captain Kristina Brown, was the team’s most productive in a very challenging season. Despite the difficulties, Myers explained that the decision to return was an easy one.
“Our record didn’t show the hard work and dedication each one of us put in last season,” she said. “I believe if we continue to grow, value team chemistry and work hard that we will do better in the win-loss column next season.”
“We are thrilled to keep Megan Myers on the Boston Blades roster for next season,” said Boston Blades General Manager Krista Patronick. “Myers is the type of player who does all that is asked of her and more. She brings energy to the locker room and has stepped up as a leader. I’m excited to watch her continue to grow into that role.”
Myers hails from Las Vegas, NV and graduated from Utica College, where she earned 143 points throughout here collegiate career. In addition to her career as a player, she currently serves as an assistant coach for Becker College’s Women’s ice hockey team.
