Vancouver – Jason Zucker of Las Vegas blocked a shot, got control of the puck and jetted down the ice for a breakaway goal on a spectacular backhand shot which rocketed in for the NHL Minnesota Wild in a very tough 5-4 loss to the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
It was Jason’s 3rd goal of the season and his 48th of his NHL career. He also had an assist.
Minnesota led early 2-0, Vancouver rallied with two powerplay goals to tie 2-2, then went ahead 4-2. Jason’s goal cut Vancouver’s lead to 4-3. Minnesota tied the game 4-4, then Vancouver scored late to win it. The crowd was 17,917.
