Tucson –  UNLV’s dramatic rally just fell short to the University of Arizona ACHA D1 in a 6-5 loss here at the Tucson Convention Center. UNLV, which is ranked West #2 in ACHA D2, is now 11-2-0 this season. Goal scorers in order for UNLV were Ethan Montoya (his 3rd goal of the season), Jake Saxe (7th), Dion Antisin (8th), Viktor Brask (9th) and Niklas Giers (6th). Erik Eidissen was in the net for the Rebels. Game two of the weekend series is here Saturday, 2 pm.

//Brendan Harris, who is having a phenominal season with the BCHL Wenatchee Wild, had one goal, three assists in a 10-2 win over the Coquitlam Express before 2282 at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, Washington. Brendan was selected the #3 Star of the Game. He has 9 goals, 29 assists for 38 points to lead all Las Vegas players away from home this season.

//Joe Sullivan of Las Vegas scored for St. Lawrence University in a 4-0 win over Princeton before 1510 at the Appleton Arena in Canton, NY. Joe has 5 goals, 4 assists this season. He is in his junior season at St. Lawrence. Outside during the game the temperature was in the low 40s.

//Michael Cichy of Las Vegas scored and deal an assist for the NA3HL Atlanta Capitals in a tough 6-5 OT loss to the Texas Jr Brahamas. The game was played at the Center Ice Arena in Sandy Springs, Ga.

//Jimmy Samuels of Las Vegas and the ACHA D3 Kansas University won a wild 16-7 road game over South Dakota State in Brookings, SD.  Jimmy and KU are having an awesome season.
