Orlando, Florida –  Cory Ward of Las Vegas dealt a game-tying assist late in the third period to help the ECHL Manchester Monarchs beat the Orlando Solar Bears 4-3 in an OT/Shootout at the Amway Center.

Manchester trailed 3-2 late when Cory sent a pass over to Jordan Lavalle-Smotherman who scored to tie the game 3-3 with 6:01 left in regulation play.  Manchester then won the game in an OT/Shootout which went eight deep. Derek Arnold scored the game-winner for Manchester. 

The crowd was 4211. Cory now has 7 goals, 11 assists for Manchester which lifted its season record to 20-8-1.

Also on Tuesday evening….

Burlington, Vermont –  Joe Sullivan of Las Vegas had one assist for #16-ranked St. Lawrence who lost a tough one, 4-3 to #13 ranked Vermont which scored two goals in the third period to win it before 3628 on their home ice at the Gutterson Field House. St. Lawrence is now 10-6-4 this season. Outside the rink doors the temperature was in the low 30s and it was snowing during the entire game.
