Greeley, Colorado – The West #2-ranked UNLV Rebels out-battled Northern Colorado in a rough, physical game 5-3 to raise their season record to 21-3-0.  Cody Williams scored the go-ahead goal. It was his 32nd goal of the season. UNLV’s Dion Antisin had two goals, Bas Assaf one goal, Jake Saxe scored with about a minute to play to clinch it. Terry Martin was in the net for UNLV.

Las Vegas – The WSHL Las Vegas Storm – with eight different goal scorers – beat the Phoenix Knights 8-3 at the Las Vegas Ice Center. Brooks Dimarino was in the net for Las Vegas. Goal scorers for the Storm were Nikita Pintusov, Amandus Laukkanen, Jeffery Morgan, Joey Allegrini, Tino Nummela, Brenden Fehlig, Alex Roth and Sam Sykes.

Greenville, S.C.  – Zach Pochiro of Las Vegas scored 9 seconds into the game to help the ECHL Norfolk Admirals beat the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 5-0 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Zach had one goal, one assist and was +2 in the game.

Wenatchee, Washington – Brendan Harris of Las Vegas dealt his 56th assist of the season and was selected the ‘Energy Player of the Game’ for the BCHL Wenatchee Wild in a 4-1 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The crowd was 3092 at the Town Toyota Center. Brendan leads the BCHL in scoring with 17 goals, 56 assists for 73 points. After the game Brendan and his teammates skated with dozens of Boy Scouts and their families on their home ice.

In Germany, Mike Trimboli of Las Vegas scored the first goal of the game and then added two assists as EHC Neuwied Bears opened the playoffs with a 10-1 win over the Neuss Hockey Club.

After a holiday break at home in Las Vegas skater Jimmy Samuels returns today to his ACHA Kansas University hockey team for second semester games. KU has a 10-2-0 record.
