Las Vegas –  UNLV’s most heralded and famous hockey jersey – the red Number 96 worn by Anthony Greener when he played for the Rebels – is framed and hanging on the South Wall at the SoBe Ice Arena.

Greener, now the head coach of the West’s #2 ranked UNLV Rebels, said “…it’s a real jersey that I wore in my senior year at UNLV.

“It means a lot for our program for them (SoBe Ice Arena) to do this. It’s a honor for me to see it everytime our team plays there. It shows you how far our program has come.”

No one will ever wear #96 again for UNLV. The number has been retired.

Tonight all will see it as BYU heads in to take on UNLV at 6 pm at the SoBe
