Independence, Missouri –  Captain Chris Francis of Las Vegas made hockey history tonight. He scored his 15th goal of the season, added an assist for the ECHL Quad City Mallards in a riveting 6-5 OT win over the Missouri Mavericks. When the game was over Chris was selected the #2 Star of the Game — his third straight game he has received a Star of the Game award. He received two #1 Star of the Game awards in wins over the ECHL Indy Fuel during the weekend.

Against Missouri Chris scored in the second period with assists from Michael Parks and Nolan Laporte. Chris later dealt an assist. He now has 15 goals, 18 assists for 33 points. The Tuesday night game drew a big crowd of 4280 at the Silversteins Eye Centers Arena.
