There were plenty of Las Vegas skaters in big games on Super Bowl Eve


Jason Zucker of Las Vegas and NHL Minnesota Wild beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-3. Jason had two assists and was +3 on the ice. He is now a career-best +33 on the ice this season.


Michael McNicholas of Las Vegas scored his 10th goal and had an assist for NCAA New Hampshire University in an 8-2 loss to UMass-Lowell.

Joe Sullivan of Las Vegas scored his 9th goal of the season for #14-ranked St. Lawrence University in a 3-1 road loss to Clarkson


Kenny Brooks of Las Vegas and Colorado Eagles beat the Alaska Aces 2-1 in an OT/Shootout

Chris Francis of Las Vegas and Quad City Mallards beat the Rapid City Rush 5-3. Chris had one goal, one assist and a #2 Star of the Game.  He has 16 goals, 19 assists this season.

Zach Pochiro of Las Vegas and Norfolk Admirals lost 4-3 to the Adirondack Thunder

Gage Quinney, Ross McMullan of Las Vegas and Wheeling Nailers beat the  Reading Royals 4-3 in OT.

Cory Ward of Las Vegas and Manchester Monarchs beat the South Carolina Stingrays 5-3.  Cory scored his 12th goal of the season in this game.

Derek Sutliffe of Las Vegas and St. Scholastica – Minnesota lost 3-2 in OT to Concordia – Wisconsin


UNLV Rebels beat Arizona State D2 6-2 at Oceanside Arena, Tempe, Az.


Jimmy Samuels of Las Vegas and GM of Kansas University hockey team reports the Jayhawks beat South Dakota State 11-0 in a road game to raise their season record to a best-ever 15-3-0.  Next Kansas U will take on their biggest rival Missouri on Thursday, Feb 23. “We are expecting a hometown crowd of over 6,000 to see that game. Missouri is our biggest rival in every sport at Kansas University,” Jimmy said.


Brendan Harris of Las Vegas had one assist for the Wenatchee Wild in a 9-1 win over the Surrey Eagles at the Town Toyota Center, Wenatchee, Washington.


Valencia Flyers 6, Las Vegas Storm 3 at the Las Vegas Ice Center


Vincent Dekumbis, the star goal scorer who played for the WSHL Las Vegas Storm last season, had 2 goals, one assist and a #1 Star of the Game for the Texas Jr Brahmas in a 4-2 win over the Louisiana Drillers. Vincent has 12 goals, 22 assists this season.
