Glbert, Arizona – Melwin Thorrson, a dynamic ultra speed goal scorer, had three goals to help the WSHL Las Vegas Storm beat the WSHL Phoenix Knights 8-1 here at Arizona Ice.  Melwin was on a line with Ted Astrom and Amandus Laukkanen who started together at the opening faceoff.

Las Vegas, coached by GM/head coach Gabe Gauthier, won its franchise-best 24th game. The Las Vegas team is qualified for the upcoming playoffs. Goalie Brooks Dimarino was in the net and got a win for the second straight game.

Las Vegas will close out its regular season here on Sunday, then prepare for playoff hockey.
