Las Vegas – The WSHL Las Vegas Storm is advancing in the playoffs. The Storm turned up the heat and beat the WSHL Fresno Monsters 9-2 to win a Best of Three series two games to none. It is the first time in franchise history that the Storm has moved to the second round of the league playoffs.
The Storm had balanced scoring again to beat a rough, physical Fresno team. The Storm’s premier goalie Spencer Kozlowski was in the net.

Glen Falls, N.Y. – Gage Quinney of Las Vegas scored his 16th goal for the ECHL Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 road win over the Ariondack Thunder. Gage, who has been on a goal-scoring tear, was named the #2 Star of the Game. The crowd was 2109 at the Glen Falls Civic Center. Gage has 16 goals, 25 assists for 41 points this season.
Wenatchee, Washington – The BCHL Chilliwack Chiefs scored the first three goals in a 3-1 win over the BCHL Wenatchee Wild in the opening game of a Best of Seven series. Brendan Harris of Las Vegas was in the game for Wenatchee. The crowd was 3150 at the Town Toyota Center.
