Tonight marks the final regular season games for Las Vegas players in season-closing games in the ECHL  Other Las Vegas players will move forward in ECHL playoff action.

Season-Closing Game tonight:

Ross McMullan of Las Vegas one assist for the ECHL Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 loss the Kalamazoo Wings before 3745 at the Wings Event Center.

Playoff Teams – Regular Season Closes Tonight, Then to Playoffs

Chris Francis of Las Vegas with ECHL Quad City Mallards lost 6-1 to the Ft Wayne Komets before 4382 at Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Wayne, Indiana

Cory Ward of Las Vegas with ECHL Manchester Monarchs lost to Brampton Beast 5-4 before 3501 at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, Ontario


The ECHL Alaska Aces — great, awesome rivals for years with the ECHL Las Vegas Wranglers – will play in their final game as a franchise at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage this evening. The Aces announced earlier this would be their final season in the league. It will be the Aces vs the Idaho Steelheads. The Alaska Aces made a late run for a playoff spot but just missed qualifying. The Aces have a great head coach in Rob Murray who has been with the team since the 2011 season. In the Alaska area the Aces and the NAHL Kenai Brown Bears franchises are shutting down their operations. In Anchorage tonight outside of the Sullivan Arena it will be real hockey weather – clear, cold with of low of 26 degrees.
