Jerrett Overland of Las Vegas on the move. Jerrett played for the Connecticut Wolfpack 16u this past season

My responsibility in San Jose was evaluating the 2001 birth year.

Las Vegas players did very well.

I was really impressed with Anthony Bonaldi, for a 5’7″ goalie who competes very hard, works very hard, challenges the shooter, is everything you could ask for in a goalie.

Jerrett Overland is a very talented defenseman. Great skill set, skates very well, good stick skills and has a great shot. Tremendous future in hockey if he continues to grow as a hockey player and person.

Alexander Hone caught the eye of many coaches. Competes very hard. Good puck mover. It was great to see his GPA 4.0. Joe Doyle the assistant coach at Air Force asked me several questions about Alex but I haven’t been involved in youth hockey in 10 years. I told Joe please ask Gabe Gathier. Remember hockey is a small world. Joe and I have been friends since 2001 when he was recruiting Ed Del Grosso. I happened to know Joe’s boss pretty well!!! Lol.

Some high end players included:

Joshua Groll from SD was one of the top rated forwards. Fun to watch, very creative, made plays and very good without the puck. Highly skilled forward and very strong on his skates. Joshua will be a great college player in the future.

Brendan Brisson high end forward with great vision and puck skills. Always around the puck and very good without the puck. Very honest player who does not cheat, always deep in his zone. A future college player.

What a great weekend experience for these players to compete with players they played against all year. It is always more than just the hockey.
