Las Vegas – Cody Milligan’s three goals – including two which were short-handed – helped the Las Vegas Cavalry beat Utah 11-4 in a Mountain West Hockey League game at the City National Arena here on Saturday night.

The game was 2-2 going into the second period before the Cavalry ignited. Goalie Rick O’Dria, with 27 saves, got the win. John Albanese, Kody Holmes, Kevin Corbin, Zach Smith and Justin Battaglia each had three point games.

Milligan, 24, played for the AAA Nevada Stars 16u in 2009-10, then played for the NAHL Corpus Christi IceRays, NAHL Minot Minotaurus and NAHL Minnesota Magicans.

The Cavalry will be off for Thanksgiving and then return to take on the Arizona Outlaws on December 1.
