UNLV’s wildly successful first semester of hockey comes to a close tonight in a road game at Colorado State. UNLV, which began the season with an intra-squad game before a packed City National Arena back on September 1, is taking on Colorado State on its home ice in Fort Collins, Colorado. After this game, UNLV breaks until they return to the road to face #2 ranked Minot on January 11 followed by two road games vs #16 ranked Jamestown.  UNLV has a 14-5-0 record and is ranked #12 in its first season of ACHA D1 level hockey. UNLV’s head coach is Anthony Greener, the Rebels greatest captain when he played for the club, and assisted by Nick Robone.

The Adam Stio-coached Las Vegas Cavalry is looking to rebound tonight – Saturday – against a hard skating Arizona Outlaws team in a Mountain West Hockey League game at the City National Arena on Pavillion Drive near Downtown Summerlin. The Cavalry beat Utah twice last weekend, then lost to Arizona 10-7 on Friday night. Faceoff tonight is 7:30 pm
