Escondido, Ca. –  The Las Vegas Cavalry ignited late after goal scorer John Albanese was roughed up following his key goal to beat the Orange County Checkers 6-4 at the historic Isoplex Ice Arena on Friday night.

New Cavalry goalie Kenny Miller from Central Maine Jr College was very strong with 48 saves.

The Checkers led early, then Albanese of Las Vegas was hit after he scored a goal to flame up the game.  In the third period Albanese, Ryan Rinko – getting his scoring touch back – scored and Tyler Bush had two goals including the game-winner to give Las Vegas the win.

“Big road win, we played hard, very exciting,” reported Cavalry GM and Head Coach Adam Stio.
