Washington, DC – The NHL Washington Capitals broke to a four-goal lead enroute to a 6-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in a fiercely played game here Monday night. James Neal and Reilly Smith scored for the Golden Knights who are now in a ‘must win’ game against the Capitals on Thursday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

According to NHL.com teams with a 3-1 series lead have won the Stanley Cup 31 of 32 times. Only the 1942 Detroit Red Wings rallied with three straight to win.
