NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Final Score

Washington Capitals 4, Vegas Golden Knights 3

Capitals win Best of Seven 4-1

//When it was over the Vegas Golden Knights players stood at center ice, raised their sticks to salute and thank their fans who jammed into the T-Mobile Arena all season long. David Perone, Nate Schmidt and Reilly Smith scored for the Golden Knights. Head coaches Barry Trotz and Gerald Gallant embraced at center ice. Alex Ovechkin was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy. This is the first Stanley Cup Championship ever for the Washington Capitals. To get here the Vegas Golden Knights eliminated three great teams – the LA Kings, San Jose Sharks and the Winnipeg Jets. The Capitals won a very hard series against the Tampa Bay Lightning to get into the Stanley Cup Finals.

//After the game the Golden Knights tweeted “…this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
