St. Paul, Minnesota – Jason Zucker of Las Vegas is staying where he wanted to stay – right with the NHL Minnesota Wild.  Jason signed a five-year deal with the Wild on Tuesday.

Wild GM Paul Fenton said “it was always our intention to re-sign Jason. He is a big part of the future of our club.”

Jason is coming off 33-goal season.

He has 129 career NHL goals with the Wild.

He first began playing hockey in Las Vegas at the age of 3 1/2 when his hockey dad Scott took him to see hockey coach Larry Sanford at the Crystal Palace roller rink. Jason brought his new hockey stick with him. Jason last played in Las Vegas on an AAA Nevada Stars 16u team at the Las Vegas Ice Center. Wally Lacroix was his head coach. Jason at 14 1/2 was the youngest player on the team but was a mighty goal scorer who had tremendous skate speed and and was hockey smart with explosive routes to the net that season.
