Duluth, Ga. – Vito Carlo of Las Vegas scored his 3rd goal of the season for the NA3HL Atlanta Capitals in a 4-3 loss to the Texas Brahmas at the Atlanta Ice Forum. Vito scored on a powerplay late in the game. Las Vegas’ Gunner Moore got the assist, his 10th this season.

College Station, Texas – Brenden Fehlig of Las Vegas scored his 3rd goal of the season and added an assist for the NA3HL College Station Spirit in a 9-2 home loss to the Mid-Cities Jr Stars. Brenden is off to a very hot start – 3 goals, 4 assists – this season. The game was played at the Spirit Ice Arena.

Duluth, Ga. – Vito Carlo and Gunner Moore of Las Vegas each scored their first goal of the season to help the NA3HL Atlanta Capitals beat the Texas Brahamas 5-3 here at the Atlanta Ice Forum on Friday night.  Vito has one goal, six assists this season; Gunner has one goal, nine assists. Atlanta ran its season record to 4-0-0. Texas is now 1-1-0.

Las Vegas – The Vegas Jesters, a Senior A minor hockey team, will begin its season in a road weekend series vs the NorCal Ice Raiders on November 2-3 the team announced on its Facebook page. The Jesters have had recent tryouts but have not yet formally announced their 2018-19 roster. They will play in the Mountain West League and home games will be at the City National Arena here in Las Vegas.

Kalamazoo, Michigan – 6′ 4″ defenseman Ross McMullan, 27, has signed with the ECHL Kalamazoo K-Wings it was announced by the team. Ross, who grew up playing hockey in Las Vegas, played the last two seasons with the ECHL Wheeling Nailers. The K-Wings play home games at the 5,113-seat Wings Event Center. The team is affiliated with the NHL Vancouver Canucks and the AHL Utica Comets.

Innsbruck – Las Vegas coach Rob Pallin and HC TWK Innsbruck battled to a fiery 6-5 OT win over Red Bull Salzburg last night. Former 4th round NHL draft pick of the New York Rangers Andrew Yogan scored the OT goal while former NHL Phoenix Coyotes 1st round draft pick Nick Ross had an amazing effort while scoring two goals. Yogan and Ross each have 3 goals this season. HC TWK Innsbruck has been in four OT games while struggling in the net with a 78% save percentage. Innsbruck is bringing in elite goalie Janne Juvonen in from Finland. Juvonen, 23, is listed at 6’1, 190. He is former draft pick of the NHL Nashville Predators.

UNLV Rebels Off This Weekend, Head to Utah October 5-6

The 4-0-0 UNLV Rebels are off this weekend. The Rebels will take on Utah University ACHA D1 in Salt Lake City on October 5-6. Utah’s team includes Joey DiBenedetto of Anchorage. He played several seasons with AAA Nevada Storm 18u, 16u teams and a season with the USHL Tri City Storm. Last winter Joey skated with Curry College NCAA D3 in Milton, Massachusetts. Utah opens its season against Weber State this Friday night, plays vs Utah Alumni on Saturday, then takes on rival Utah State on Sunday.
