Spokane, Washington – Erik Atchison of Las Vegas and the WHL Spokane Chiefs beat the Victoria Royals 6-1 before 10,359 at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday night. Erik, 16, is in his first season with the Chiefs and has played in 31 games this season. Erik played earlier this season with the AAA Phoenix Coyotes 16u, then was called up by Spokane which has a record of 37-20-1 and has clinched a spot in the playoffs. Erik is one of the very few Las Vegas players who has played in the Western Hockey League. He is listed at 6’0, 180.
