Gregg Drinnan, writing in his Taking Note column in Canada, announced today that the great Las Vegas goal scorer Chris Francis has re-signed with Salle Bulls Halle of Germany/Oberliga for the 2019-20 season. Chris, in 26 games this season, had 21 goals and 38 assists for 59 points. Gregg, who covers the Western Hockey League, noted that Chris played for the WHL Portland Winterhawks before playing professional hockey. Chris unquestionably was one of the best ever goal scorers while playing youth hockey in Las Vegas. Chris, 30, had 69 goals, 123 assists in his 4 seasons with the Portland Winterhawks. In the ECHL he played four seasons with the ECHL Las Vegas Wranglers, then a season with the ECHL Alaska Aces and was captain while playing with the ECHL Quad City Mallards.
