Irvine, California – In an all-out shocker the Kevin Conaway-coached Sin City Barons 18u took apart and beat top seed Sour Skittles 4-1 in a gold medal game here at the NARCh West Coast Finals at The Rinks.
Darion Conaway of Sin City Barons was named the MVP.
Historically it is rare for a Las Vegas team to outwork California roller hockey teams and win gold here at the NARCh West Coast Finals. The Sin City Barons lost by six goals to Sour Skittles – a top skilled dynamic team from Southern California in their first game here. However, Sin City Barons dug in and worked their way brilliantly to a spot in the gold medal game. Jakob Ogan was in the net for Sin City.
