Friday Game Preview

By Lee Samuels

Las Vegas – UNLV Rebels head coach Anthony Greener said he and his staff watched a lot of film on invading Midland University Warriors of Nebraska who are in town Friday and Saturday nights at the City National Arena. UNLV is going into the weekend with an 8-1 record and a #10 national ranking in ACHA D1. Midland is 5-2-0 with wins over Colorado State, Colorado, Northern Illinois and Maryville.

“We watched a lot of video on Midland,” Greener said. “They are really a big team and they use their size well. We are going to have to use our speed, stay wide, take it to the net.

“We will need to win the special team battles and we definitely need to out-work them the entire game,” Greener said.

Game times are 7 pm on Friday and Saturday.

UNLV’s top line will be:

Kirk Underwood

Jayson Dimizio

Paxton Malone
