Flash Update – 3rd Period – Minot State 4, UNLV Rebels 2 – Earlier in the game Jake Saxe of UNLV scored a short-handed goal, driving down left lane, then angling towards the Minot net where he fired off a wicked scoring shot in first period…..UNLV’s Tristan Mayer scored in the 2nd period to make it a 4-2 game….Tristan is on a line with Nick Flanders and Jared Erickson…The game took a physical twist midway in the second period with extreme checks and hard play…second period comes to a close….Rebels have more shots 23-17 going into the 3rd period….

Final Score – Minot State wins it 6-2…….

Minot, N.D. – UNLV’s North Dakota road trip continues with a game here against Minot State here at the famous Maysa Arena on Friday night. Minot State has been an awesome power for years in this territory. While UNLV battled in an OT firefight against the Jamestown Jimmies last night Minot State had a four-goal win here against Utah and overall is 9-1-2 this season.

UNLV vs Minot State begins 8 pm here Friday night. On Saturday night UNLV vs Minot State begins at 7:30 pm.

Outside the arena the temp will be about 21 degrees during the Friday game. Snow is coming here Saturday.

UNLV’s season record is 10-4-0.
