UNLV REBELS CRUSH #3 RANKED MINOT STATE

Las Vegas – John Moeller scored three times as the #23 ranked UNLV Rebels took apart and crushed #3 ranked Minot State 6-3 in an all out shocker here Sunday at the City National Arena.

Rebels coach Anthony Greener said “…this honestly was a great team win.

“Our players all brought it in for a good portion of the game. We slipped up a bit from the 10 minute mark in the second period but we brought it back in and we got to work.

“We had great zone coverage.

“Took care of the puck in the defensive zone.

“Got pucks behind their end and capitalized on our scoring chances.

“Great team win.”

John Moeller scored 3 goals for the Rebels.  

UNLV’s premier goalie David Anderson came as a sub for Dorian Laganiere who got a penalty while in the crease and had to leave the game in the first period.

Moeller, quoted on UNLV Rebels Hockey Twitter, said after the game  …”we are a skilled team with a lot of talented guys.

“It all revolves around speed, work ethic and being hard to play against.”
