Years ago our hockey son Eddie Samuels played for an ice hockey team in Las Vegas. A Phoenix team came to town but we noticed two top defenseman were missing. We asked the Phoenix parents where they were and no one had an answer except for “they moved on, maybe back East.” We were driven to track them down – they were very good players. We did locate them and launched a family online site called edsamuels.com and a few years later that evolved into a much larger website Vegashockey.com which basically covered all AAA/AA level teams in the West. We took a couple years off and then launched this hockey site Vegashockey.net which features Las Vegas hometown hockey teams – ice and roller – and also Las Vegas players who are skating out of town. Vegashockey.net has a worldwide readership. We could not do this alone obviously. There are many coaches, assistants, hockey parents and former hockey parents who contribute. This site covers Las Vegas youth hockey, UNLV Rebels ACHA D1, Vegas Jesters, junior hockey 21u and all of the Las Vegas players who are out of town skating for NCAA, AHL, ECHL, WSHL, NA3Hl, SPHL, MWHL teams.
