Huntington Beach, California – Cody Printzen scored 2 goals and Eric Atchinson, Hunter Barto, Darion Conaway and Corey Jew also scored for the Las Vegas Tour Rebels 14u peewee roller team in a 6-2 win over the Mission Bauer Outcasts to win a gold medal at a NARCh Qualifer here at The Rinks-Huntington Beach. The Las Vegas team, coached by Micah Sanford and Nick Robone, finished 5-1-1. Las Vegas got a great effort from its goalie Evan Martinez from San Diego.

The Las Vegas team had plenty of firepower, averaging almost 6 goals a game.

Coach Robone said “…we have a very aggressive team. We forechecked well and created a lot of turnovers which led to goals. Teams couldn’t handle our speed or strength. This is a fun group to coach.”

The Tour Rebel 14u roster includes Eric Atchinson, Hunter Barto, Kaitlyn Barto, Darion Conaway, Corey Jew, Cody Printzen and Joey Terrana.

Earlier today the Las Vegas Tour Rebels squirt 12u roller team, which played well all weekend here, lost 4-3 in OT to the Alkali High Rollers in a Final 4 game.  With a minute to play, Las Vegas scored two goals to tie in regulation, then lost in overtime. Eric Atchinson, a big goal scorer all weekend, had 2 goals and Chase McCrossian scored for Las Vegas.
