Salt Lake City –  A dramatic goal by Cody Williams of UNLV – his 26th of the season made it a one-goal game, 4-3, Utah – with 16:22 left to play. Utah then scored the last two goals to win it.  UNLV closes out its first semester here on Saturday night.

Salt Lake City –  This is it – The Rematch for the UNLV Rebels.  UNLV, ranked West #10, takes on West #2 ranked Utah in a battle of top Western teams at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex. 

Before the teams face off at 9 pm, the Utah players are having a Holiday Skate with their fans which includes a Teddy Bear toss at 7 pm.

Then it gets serious.

Utah is 18-2-2 overall.  UNLV has won five straight and is 14-5-2. The two teams played September 18-19 in a season-opening games at the Las Vegas Ice Center.  Utah won 3-1, 5-2 in high speed riveting action.

UNLV’s top goal scorers include Cody Williams with 25, Bryden Marsh 24.  UNLV’s goalie Terry Martin is one of the best in the nation. Utah’s top goal scorer is Brett Myer with 18.

These two games close out the first semester for UNLV. The Rebels will return January 15, 16 and 17 in road games against Texas State, Texas A&M and Texas.  UNLV’s next home games will be against UTEP on January 29-30 at the Las Vegas Ice Center.
