Las Vegas – UNLV signed another top player – 6’2, 201 goal scorer Donovan Shambeau – who played with the BCHL Langley Rivermen. It was Bobby Henderson, GM and head coach of Langley, who made the announcement.
Donovan, from Brea, California, began the 2015-16 season with the WSHL Ontario Avalanche, then finished the season with Langley.
He enrolled at UNLV to take part in a four-year study in Sports Medicine.
Donovan is the 4th major signing for UNLV which is amping up its 2016-17 schedule with talks of eventually going to NCAA Division One. The UNLV Rebels practice and play home games at the Las Vegas Ice Center.
